Traveling from Duluth, MN to Minot, ND

Working the land and sunflowers

We have an appointment next Wed. to get some warranty work done in Minot, ND, nothing major, just small stuff. We also ordered a half-size golf cart and had it shipped to the RV dealer in Minot. Last night we boon docked at Wal-Mart in Bemidji, MN and tonight we are at a Wal-Mart at Devil’s Lake, ND. We have 5 days to travel 470 miles and so we are taking it very slow. Western MN is pretty and has its own beauty. ND is even more isolated than western MN and towns are few and far between. It is wheat harvest time here. They say the harvest is a week or two early. They raise hard spring wheat instead of red winter wheat like we do back in Indiana. I would like to stop in at a big farm and ask to spend the night in their barnyard and get to know the people. Kim thinks this is forward – perhaps it is but I still hope to do it. We plan to take the car and tour the town tonight and look for a church to attend tomorrow AM. It sure is difficult to keep track of the day of the week.
