Bobby Unser with Kim and me, his rig, the port where the Edmond Fitzgerald was last loaded with iron ore before her fated shipwreck.
Today we got a late start because of a long – long phone call with Verizon. I won’t get into all the details but I and Dave Smith (who is doing a great job and is very sincere) have been working with the Verizon powers that be to switch our phones from M & M Security, Inc. to us personally. It shouldn’t be a big deal, but it is. Today I spoke with a lady from V. who was very sincere and may have gotten my small request pushed through the unyielding giant phone company.
When we went to Joe & Carol’s rig this AM Bobby Unser walked over and we got our picture taken with him. He seems like a nice guy. We toured the northern shores of Lake Superior and saw a lot of pretty scenery. The lake is so big and the shorelines so pretty. Travel makes us tired and we usually take an afternoon nap. I slept an hour and a half today. Once again, the best thing about Fulltiming is that you can take a nap anytime you want. We’re not sure how long we’ll stay here as there is a lot of festival activity this weekend and no room in the campgrounds. We may boondock at Wal-Mart or move on west.
